Meditation was never something I considered to try. I mean, sitting still for more than 10 seconds without checking my phone seemed like an impossible task(just kidding, longer than that). But one day, my friend was very convincing and I said yes to attending a sound bath meditation event. I thought to myself, “Sitting still and clearing my mind? I’d rather binge-watching Netflix and get emotional.” But who knew, sound bath meditation is more powerful than we think!
This event turned out to be the most enjoyable event of the month for me! After attending that one, I wanted to attend to more! I was hooked! Who knew sitting still and breathing could feel so darn good? I felt like I was on a cloud, floating in a sea of tranquility. At these events called “sound baths” they play nature sounds and crystal bowl sounds that create frequency that flow through your body. It was a feeling I never knew I needed.
Now, I’m a full-on meditation convert. And the benefits I’ve experienced have been mind-blowing. Not only has it helped me manage my stress and anxiety, but it’s also improved my sleep, increased my focus and productivity, and given me an overall sense of calm and well-being. Now, it has not been included in my daily routine yet, but I will make more of an effort. Again, who knew sound bath meditation is more powerful than we think!
